2For1 Deal

You know that awesome feeling when you go to a vending machine and when you only pay for one candy bar two come out instead? Well thats how this should feel like, I am giving the gift of double outfit posts.
HA. Ya, right.

The reality of this post is just that I neglected to take make a post yesterday, I think it was the tuesday haze that struck me. Never heard of the 'tuesday haze' before? Well neither have I, but Im just going to coin that term right now. And if anyone asks you where you heard that term, it was from me of course.

In my attempt to expedite my posting, I decided to combine yesterdays and todays outfits into one post.

For the look on the left I tried to channel Saint Laurent S/S13 and Balmain Homme, instead I spent the day getting asked if I knew who Boy George was. That wasn't the outcome I was hoping for, and honestly I wasn't familiar with Boy George. And when I finally did google him, I was pleased that I am being compared to an 80's songstress. How great.

Hat - Belonging to my Mother - No Label
Jacket - Vintage from Paris
Shirt - MHI
Pants - HM
Shoes - Comme Des Garcons x Converse

For the look on the right, well I didn't exactly have an insporation for this outfit. It sort of just fell together quickly. The pants I made though, they have a large inverted dart down the front. But since these pants are a proto of my final, they are unfinished, thus the fraying at the hem.

Shirt - Thrift
Pants - ME
Shoes - New Balance
Watch - Belonging to my Mother - Gucci

Okay, I don't think the tuesday haze has faded off. Moving onto wednesday haze, #trademark.

Le Marais Vintage

Honestly, I couldn't find a gif that would in any way be relevant to this post. Well I suppose if you would like me to shut up the above gif would apply, but I surely hope that isn't the case.

Shirt - Jeremy Scott x Adidas Originals
Jacket - Vintage Bomber from Paris
Pants - Margiela x H&M
Shoes - Salvatore Ferragamo
Necklace - Vintage Givenchy Costume Jewelry

I am sure that many of you have noticed the vast repertoire of back drops I 'shoot' in front of. Pictured above is the hallways that leads from my kitchen, past a bathroom & into the mud room. Its a very exotic location if you ask me.

The top part of my outfit was inspired by someone who had a black leather jacket and the same shirt as me. So its not blatant copying its simply 'inspiration', or so I hope. Now in respects to what Im actually wearing, Im just going to talk about my jacket. For the past couple years or so, the only place I ever seemed to buy my jackets were in Europe. For some reason I had always had an inability to find jackets I liked here in Canada. Probably because I had milked out ever H&M and Zara from about the time I was 14-16. I no longer take part in shopping there, except for the designer collaborations. They always seem to hit the nail on the head with those. The main reason to my boycott of fast fashion is simply because its better to support ethical labour and yada yada yada. And also because its more fun to buy stuff from other stores, that people most likely wont have. Like my jacket Im wearing ! My jacket I bought in a vintage store in Le Marais in Paris. It sort of reminds me of something the early Michael Jackson would wear, Im not too sure why though. I was never really a fan of him, but I am just assuming he would own a piece like this.

Okay I am going to go draft a pleated gusset, yay.

good night !

hey girl.

The beauty of this gif is actually how in the movie, while she is crying the song in the background is singing "she's beauty and she's grace".

The above gif is seemingly irrelevant, but actually this is me. At school, all the time, drowning in my drafting rulers and prismacolors. I just came back from a 12 hour day, and needless to day I feel a bit drained.

Thats me, looking tanner than usual. However, none the less tired and frustrated with pant waistbands and scu plans.
Shirt - Vintage
Sweater - Holt Renfrew x Justin Broadbents
Pants - Adidas
Shoes - Adidas Originals x Jeremy Scott

I picked this sweater up the other day, and it seemed so perfect for me due to my inherent habit of saying 'Hey Girl". Now I just let my sweater do the talking, Im sure it saves some people from biting their tongues. I was surprised that Holt Renfrew had their own label, I know back in their early days they did. I was just surprised to see this on the racks the other day, I think the sweater was in celebration of their anniversary.

I believe that was enough blabber for the night, Im off to finish a power point project and listen to The Chevin.

Regal Wear

can we just take a moment for me pretending this is a magazine spread and writing in the corner.

I bet when you read the title you expected something completely different. Either me clad in a tail coat and cane or possibly a floor length Ermine coat. But no, no. The title is simply because I thought my vintage naval academy blazer & Dr. Marten's were fancy sounding.

Double Breasted Blazer - Vintage Naval Academy, - My Sister's Wardrobe
Polo - Lacoste
Necklace - I made it
Jeans - H&M
Socks - American Apparel
Shoes - Dr. Martens

I have seriously been loving this blazer lately, it is incredibly soft, warm but most importantly versatile. I have never been one to over wear items, but I have a suspicion that I just might start with this blazer.

I hope you guys are enjoying your Hump Day, hopefully Amy Poehler will treat you to one of her non-alcohalic martini's. (But if you do want some alcohal she will give you a little bit, because she would rather you drink it in the house)

Athletic Wear for The Non-Athletic

So today is hump day, and opting for comfort today I decided to wear comfort pants. Do not worry everyone, even if I was on my death bed I would never wear those awful fleece grey sweats we all know and hate. Instead I wore a much more appropriate designer pair. Mine are L'Agence and I refer to them as my "slouchy leather pants", never sweats.

Leather on Leather today, the image that pops to ones head when thinking of leather outfits is dramatically different then how I interpreted that idea today. I wore a Thrifted 80's Eggplant Leather Jacket. As beautiful as said jacket is, no matter how many times I get it cleaned it still has an awful aged stench. I just refer to the stench as "Character", because I am not going to bother cleaning it again. My shirt is my future shirt, I feel like a stylish astronaut when I wear it. My socks are american apparel and I have doubles of them because I love them so much. I literally own every sock american apparel makes, (sorry not sorry). And last but not least, my sneakers are Hermes. These are some of the greatest shoes I own, they make every outfit look better. Just leave it to the Parisians to get it right.

We are over half way through the work week now everyone. Literally sitting in a 4 hour class today I almost had a breakdown. But I didn't and neither should you! (just kidding, do what you like). But we are over half way, just keep thinking that ! Unless you work weekends...
